Robert W. Peters
Robert W. Peters, 89, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009. He was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Thornton, Ill., to Chris and Anna (nee: Diekleman) Peters.
He served honorably in the Army Air Corp for 11 years during World War II.
He worked for Hillbehen Lumber company in Schiller Park, Ill., prior to moving to Cape Coral in 1983. He moved here with his wife, Dorothy Ziebel Peters, who passed away in 1992.
He is survived by his brother, Richard of Michigan; sister, Violet Anderson of Thornton, Ill.; cousin, Delores Dennis; friend, Evelyn Donaghey; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Parkway. He was laid to rest in Acacia Park Cemetery.
