Ernest Edward Young
Ernest Edward Young, 63, of Cape Coral, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at his residence. He was born July 1, 1946, in Kalamazoo, Mich., a child of Douglas and Carolyn (O’Rourke) Young.
A resident of Cape Coral for the past four years, he previously lived in Kalamazoo, Mich., where he worked for Western Michigan University for more than 28 years as a custodian.
He is survived by his children, Angela Young and Rachel Lowe, both of Kalamazoo, and Rebecca Sue Young of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Taylor Lowe, Madison Young, Cassidy Richards and Hunter Scherer; mother of his children, Sharon Pickett; brothers, Ronald, David, Kenneth and Thomas; and sisters, Barb, Nancy and Peggy.
He was the brother of the late Darlene.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 in the chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, where the family will receive friends after 5 p.m.
