Cleo Paul "Pete" McKeeman

Cleo Paul “Pete” McKeeman, 82, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009. He was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Mohawk, Ind.

He was a World War II veteran.

He moved to Florida in 1957. He was a shrimper and a well-loved performer with his country band, The Orange Blossom Special, for more than 20 years.

He was a loving father and a friend to many and will be dearly missed. He was a gifted musician and a prolific songwriter.

He is survived by his sons, Shaun, Denny, Randy and Mark; daughters, Cindy Frazier and Tammy Reid; brothers, Billy, Rex, Donnie and Joe; and sisters, Margie and Bonnie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, on Jan. 12, 2004; and son, Cleo.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, with services following at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
