Virginia “Ginny” Eleanor McCullough

Virginia “Ginny” Eleanor McCullough, 78, of Matlacha, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in East Canton, Ohio, a child of Boyd and Vera (Mercer) Dager.

A resident of Matlacha for the past 22 years, she formerly lived in Allen Park, Mich. She was a self-employed commercial artist who designed many ads for the automotive industry, was very active in bridge groups in Fort Myers and the Cape and was a Life Master.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Farrell H. “Mac” McCullough; children, Scott A. (Kathleen) Bixler of Safety Harbor, Fla., Mark W. (Lori) Bixler of Dallas, Texas, Timothy J. (Marsha) Bixler of Louisville, Ky., Stephanie A. Flores of Livonia, Mich., Paul F. McCullough of Westland, Mich., and Christine A. (Michael) Beattie of Whitmore Lake, Mich.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sisters, Anne (Carl) Williams and Donna (Tom) Silvestrini, all of Matlacha.

Funeral service and burial will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts maybe sent in her memory to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
