John Solich
John Solich, 84, of Cape Coral passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009. Mr. Solich was born on Dec. 14, 1924 in Robindale, Pa., a son of the late thomas and Dora (Studer) Solich. John served honorably and proudly in the U. S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. John had resided here since 1978, coming from Seward, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Thomas, Steve and and infant brother Matthew, a son, David and a grandson Michael, a child of his son Gary.
John is survived by his wife of 63 years Doris (Rudnik) Solich of Cape Coral, son douglas (Linda) Solich and their children Benjamin and Courtney. He is also survived by his son Gary (Catherine) their son Mark, daughter-in-law Patricia (widow of David) and their children Dwayne and Dana.
Also surviving are his great grandchildren Max, Nora, Effie, Vivian, Sean, Bret, Ashly and Joshua; brothers Joseph William and Matthew and his sister Diane St. Clair.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at noon in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
