Paul Cassin Cody

Paul Cassin Cody, 91, of Cape Coral, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, in Green Bay, Wis., He was born to the late Oliver T. and Margaret (nee: Powers) Cody Jan. 24, 1918, in Illinois. Spending 20 years in LaGrange, Ill., he was a pilot for Army/Air Corp. Major Cody served honorably from 1941-1945 during World War II.

He married Patricia D. on Jan. 12, 1944, they had two children. From 1945- 1952, he served in the Illinois National Guard. He worked as auto engineer for Check Chart Corp 1952-1969 in Chicago, and 1969-1983 in Detroit. He and Patricia spent 14 years in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., before moving to Cape Coral in 1983

Mr. Cody was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of the Cape Coral Elks and St. Andrew Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and three brothers.

He is survived by his daughter, Eileen (Timothy) Condon of Green Bay, Wis.; son, Richard (Renay) Cody, of Troy, Mich.; grandchildren, Colleen Condon, Molly (Terry) Sell, Kelly (Steve) Plummer, Brian (Kelly) Condon, Nicole (Scott) Carlson, Matthew Cody; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Macy and Maxwell Carlson, Bella Plummer, and Finnegan Sell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m., at St. Andrew Catholic Church; burial to follow.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m., at Fuller Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd., South, Cape Coral.
