Alvin L. Rupprecht
Alvin L. Rupprecht, 83, formerly of Cape Coral, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Life Path Hospice in Sun City Center, Fla. He was born Sept. 10, 1926, in Yardley, Pa., a son of the late John B. and Agnes Schwartz Rupprecht.
He was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church and was an active member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and its honor guard.
He was a retired engineer from the automotive industry and also held a degree in accounting. He was a member of the AARP and did numerous hours of volunteering doing tax returns for senior citizens.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served honorably during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, AnnMarie Rupprecht; children, Patricia (Donald) Comfort, Charles (Danise) Rupprecht, Christine (Frank) Mennel, Kenneth Rupprecht, Cynthia (Mike) Wiegand, Eileen (Gary) Peabody and Maureen (Mark) McGinley; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Carolyn) Rupprecht; and sisters, Mary Arata and Helen Rupprecht.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
