Priscilla D. Dupre

Priscilla D. Dupre, 60, of North Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at the Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral from a long battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Fairhaven Mass., a child of John and Loretta (Quirk) Pauline.

A resident of the Fort Myers area for the past 37 years, she was a communicant of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church.

She was known for her extravagant travels, a gypsy at heart, and known by her many Jamaican friends, whom she also considered family, as “Nanny.” Her love for water was immense, from scuba diving, snorkeling and boating, to cliff diving and fishing – her father’s daughter.

Nanny will be missed and always in our hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dennis Dupre; children, Tammy Meyers of Gainesville, Fla., Jody Alderman of Cape Coral and Randy Saucier of Fort Myers Beach; grandchildren, Brandi, Blake, Brett, Jeremiah, Dakotah, Cheyne and Calypso; great-grandchildren, Damion and Bailey Jo; five sisters, two brothers; and a very large family of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions may be sent in her memory to St. Katherine Drexel Church, 1922 S.W. 20th Ave., Cape Coral, FL 33991.
