Lisa Christine Schmidt
Lisa Christine Schmidt, 51, of Cape Coral, passed into God’s hands Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. She was born June 13, 1958, in Somerset, N.J., a child of Paul A. and Antoinette H. (Lasco) Schmidt.
She grew up in Riverton, Pa., and graduated from Bangor Area High School in Pennsylvania and the Lincoln Technical Institute. After graduation she moved to the Hudson Valley area of New York state and worked for IBM and the N.Y. State University System.
A resident of Southwest Florida for the past seven years, she most recently lived in Cape Coral for the past two years and was employed as a financial aid advisor at Edison State College in Fort Myers.
She is survived by her brother, Jeffrey M. (Carol) Schmidt of Cape Coral; sister, Paula Franklin of Owing Mills, Md.; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Horizon Funeral Home, 1605 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, where the family will receive friends after noon.
