Jerome ‘Jack’ Cooper

Jerome “Jack” Cooper, 77, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009, in Michigan, where he went to visit his family for his birthday and Father’s Day. He has gone home to be with the Lord.

He retired from AT&T after 30 plus years of service. An avid traveler, he lived in Hawaii for 11 years and was currently living in Cape Coral. He was a real fan of baseball, especially of the Tampa Bay Rays and the Detroit Tigers.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Throughout his life, he has had a deep faith in the Catholic Church and tried hard to live like he thought Christ would want him to. He was a well-liked member of the Cape Coral community and always had a big smile for everyone he met. He knew everyone at Bob Evans where he frequently ate.

He was never too busy to extend a helping hand to someone in need. He is missed by not only his family, but by everyone who got to know him.

He was a loving husband and friend of 49 years to Dorothy; devoted father of Steve (Karen) Cooper, Fr. Daniel Cooper and Joseph (Amy) Cooper; proud grandfather of Kaitlin, Kyle and Connor; dear brother of John Cooper, Marilyn (Richard) Roll and Marie Cooper. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
