Charles L. Hart
Charles L. Hart, 81, of Cape Coral passed away Friday June 19, 2009 at Hope Hospice House North in Cape Coral. Mr. Hart was born on Sept. 13, 1927 in Toledo, Ohio the son of the late Harry R. and Cecilia Sallows Hart. He was the widower of Eleanor M. Hart who died on April 8, 2002, and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Jean Thompson who died on July 31, 1982.
Charles was employed in the Toledo area as a dispatcher in the fleet maintenance industry. After moving to Cape Coral in 1995, Charles was employed by the Cape Coral Daily Breeze newspaper.
He was a model train enthusiast and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the Big M and at the casinos. Charles devoted his entire life to his wonderful family which meant everything to him.
He is survived by his his son Randall (Randi) Hart of Cape Coral; his grandchildren, Tracy Hart of Cape Coral, Randy Hart of Ft. Myers; Andrew Thompson of Toledo and Steven Hart of Cape Coral.
Private services will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to: Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy. E. Cape Coral, FL 33909. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
