Robert M. Anderson
Robert M. Anderson, 79, of Cape Coral, died Saturday, June 7, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He was born in 1929 in Brockton, Mass.
He earned a finance degree from Bentley College, and his career in banking spanned 40 years. He then served the county as a purchasing agent for the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. After retirement he returned to government service as a bailiff in the court system.
Throughout the years, he was active in numerous organizations, including the Kiwanis Club, United Way, Pop Warner and Little League. He enjoyed golfing, yard work and Gator football.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty; children, Joy (Michael Gaziano), Jon (Brym Beatty) and Jill (Hector Louzao); and grandchildren, Julia and Nicholas Gaziano, Cade, Camden and Caleb Anderson, and Hallie, Andrew and Anna Louzao.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
