Lorraine V. Cobb
Lorraine V. Cobb, 82, of Fort Myers, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009. She was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Elmira, N.Y., to Russell and Ruth Sparling.
She married Clifford P. Cobb in 1955, who proceeded her in death in 1996. She owned and operated a beauty salon in New York for many years.
She moved to Cape Coral in 1996 from Horseheads, N.Y. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Clifford P. (Elaine) Cobb of Cape Coral; daughter, Michele (Thomas) McKibbin of Horseheads, N.Y.; sister, Melva Burnett of Clifton Springs, N.Y.; grandchildren, Thomas and fiance, Bojona McKibbin, Joshua McKibbin and Dr. Tracie (Shawn) Vallone-Sherwin; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Sherwin; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family would like to thank the Springwood Court staff for its excellent care.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Harvey-Engelhardt-Metz Funeral Home, 1600 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Viewing will be two hours prior to service time.
