David Paul Todd
David P. Todd, 91 of Cape Coral, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2009. He was born August 2, 1917 in Manheim, PA and was the loving son of the late Bessie Mae and David S. Todd. A brother, Clarence and sister, Anna Mae preceded him in death. He married Dorothy Hess of Conestoga, PA on December 13, 1943 and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
David is survived by his wife, Dorothy, 2 daughters, Patricia A. Hartman, wife of Dean W. Hartman of Cape Coral and Sharon Lynn Anderson, wife of Bruce Anderson of Corona Del Mar, CA., and a beloved grandson, Dean Todd Hartman of Cape Coral.
David lived in Neffsville, Pa until his retirement from Raybestos Manhattan in 1981 after 42 years and then moved to Fort Myers. He served in the US Army Air Force as a Staff Sargeant with the 36th Fighter Group, 53rd Squadron in England, France and Germany during WWII. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #43 and Scottish Rite of Lancaster, Pa. David enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay, traveling in their motorhome, and cruises.
David will be forever missed by his wife, daughters and grandson. A Celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
