David P. Todd
David P. Todd, 91 of Cape Coral, Fla. passed away peacefully on April 23, 2009.
He was born Aug. 2, 1917 in Manheim, Penn. and was the loving son of the late Bessie Mae and David S. Todd.
He married Dorothy Hess of Conestoga, Penn. on Dec. 13, 1943 and they recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
He lived in Neffsville, Penn. until his retirement from Raybestos Manhattan in 1981 after 42 years and then moved to Fort Myers, Fla. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sargeant with the 36th Fighter Group, 53rd Squadron in England, France and Germany during WWII. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge #43 and Scottish Rite of Lancaster, Penn. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay, traveling in their motorhome, and cruises.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, two daughters, Patricia A. Hartman, wife of Dean W. Hartman, Cape Coral and Sharon Lynn Anderson, wife of Bruce Anderson, Corona Del Mar, Calif., and beloved grandson, Dean Todd Hartman, Cape Coral.
A brother, Clarence and sister, Anna Mae preceded him in death.
David will be forever missed by his wife, daughters and grandson.
A Celebration of David’s life will be held at a later date.
