Jean McGuire
Jean McGuire, 76, of Cape Coral, formerly of Fishkill, N.Y., died Thursday, April 23, 2009.
She was born Sept. 11, 1932, to Collen and Nora Anger, now deceased. She was the wife to the most wonderful friend and husband that anyone would ever want, Thomas F. McGuire.
She is pre-deceased by her daughter, Linda Marie Amend, who died in 1974.
Her purpose in this life was to cherish every single one of her eight babies, Debra and Jerry DeMarco of Millbrook, Colleen and David Swift of the Town of Newburgh, Thomas and Sherry McGuire of Clayton, Ala., Janine McGuire, James McGuire, Kelly McGuire and Stacy and Kenneth Ossowicz, all of Cape Coral.
Mrs. McGuire has 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Vincent and Leighann DeMarco, Jeremy and Christine McGuire, Matthew and Natalie Barber, Thomas and Kara McGuire, Collen McGuire, Kevin, Kelly and Robbie Huffstutler, Linda and Andrew Ossowicz. She was blessed with two great-granddaughters, Laila and Tesa Marin Barber. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends who adored her dearly.
Jean and Thomas were married for 53 years, wed in the Bronx on May 30, 1955. One would have to say they had a fireproof marriage, and will live spiritually forever!
She is also survived by her siblings, Nora Toohey of Florida, Marge and Richard Herman of New Jersey and Robert and Joann Anger of Texas, and was preceded by Lorraine Monti.
Visitation was held Saturday, April 25, at the Fuller Funeral Home, with a memorial service for friends and family held, Sunday, April 26.
