Forrest H. Allen
Forrest H. Allen, 68, of Cape Coral, died Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was born Nov. 12, 1940, in Eastchester, N.Y., to Forrest F. and Amy Allen.
He married Yvonee Johnson in 1962. Formerly of Westchester County, N.Y., he had been a resident of Lee County since 1977. He was employed with Youngquist Bros. in Fort Myers for the past 20 years.
His prestigious family heritage includes the American Revolution along with Godly men and women establishing the first circuit preaching in the Nashville, Tenn., area. Furthering his education through Biblical studies, he and his wife enjoyed ministering the love and power of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father who was devoted to his family.
His family includes his wife, Yvonne; children, Julie (Mark) Scott of Freeport, Fla., Forrest (Shelly) Allen Jr. and David Allen of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Heather Perry, and Christa, Logan and Lexcee Allen; and a soon arriving first great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday at Metz Funeral Chapel, 1306 Lafayette St. The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m.
