Charlene A. Skibinski
Charlene A. Skibinski, 55, of Cape Coral, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009. She was born Aug. 29, 1953, to Charles Ellis and Jeanette (nee: Wagner) Nooney.
She had lived in Cape Coral for more than 34 years. She worked for the Lee County School District for 29 years with her most recent 28 years at Gulf Elementary.
She was an avid shopper who always enjoyed a good bargain. She was a longtime supporter of the Relay for Life. She always volunteered at the school for numerous activities to help the children. The school was her life.
She is survived by her loving family, including daughters, Dawn Indellicati of Cape Coral and Melissa (Raul) Lara of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Isabella, Giovanni, Franco Jr., Carlos, Alexa and Sophia; brother, Roger Zielinski; sisters, Marcianne Zielinski and Mary Jo Archer; and dear friend, Theresa Manzo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jeanette.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway.
The family suggests donations in her memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
