Jodeen “Jodi” Marie Ohl, 51, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at HealthPark Medical Center, after struggling with heart complications. She was born Nov. 5, 1957, in Portland, Ore., to Annette Jean DeVries and Jack Bowdish.

She graduated from Katella High School in 1976. She married the love of her life, Frank Joseph Ohl, on July 7, 1977, in Silver Creek, N.Y. They had five children, and moved from New York to Florida in 1993 with two of their children.

She was an active member and believer in our heavenly father. She had a love for life and those around her, who will always remember her beautiful spirit and love.

Of all her accomplishments, her greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence.

Her creative mind, kind heart and brilliant smile allowed her to make everything, from her time with friends and family to relaxing by the water, to a simple story told to her children and grandchildren, sparkle. Her generous heart filled her home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more.

She leaves all her children and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved, and they know that she loved the Lord.

She is survived by her mother; four siblings; children, Krisitie Lea Ohl, Jessica Marie Carrasco (Jose Armando Carrasco), Sherry Ann Ohl, Rebecca Lynn Ohl and Jodi Lynn Ohl; eight grandchildren; and husband, Frank Joseph Ohl.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at noon Saturday at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd. S.
