Juana M. Diaz
Juana M. Diaz, 80, of Cape Coral, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in the Dominican Republic, to Apolinar and Rosa Emilia Bourdier Diaz.
She was formerly of Rhode Island, where she worked at Providence College. She was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Juan D. Batista of Cape Coral; children, Jose A. Batista of Cape Coral, Antonia Batista of Rhode Island, Freddy Batista of the Dominican Republic and Juan F. Batista of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Hector, Janet, Charly, Antonia, Argeny, Abel, Angel, Andrew, Roselyn, Angelie, Jasmine, Jaime and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Melanie, Anthony and Genesis.
Visitation was held Sunday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road. Burial will be in the Dominican Republic.
