John F. Butrick
John F. Butrick, 78, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. He was born May 10, 1930.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force, having served in various posts in the United States and Germany.
He attended Worcester Boys Trade School and resided in Oxford, Mass., until he and his wife moved to Fort Myers in 1988 after retiring from the Worcester State Hospital.
He was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Vincelette Butrick; children, Edward (Jeannie), Jacqueline, Denise (Bruce Ginsberg), Gina Gabel (Allen), Richard (Diane), James (Monica) and Patti-Anne Nicholson (Chris); grandchildren, Olivia, Aaron, Victoria, Garrett, Elizabeth, Catherine and Ross; and sisters, Eileen Raome, Mildred Fahey and Rita Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen O’Conner; father, Leon F. Butrick; brother, George; and sister, Helen Trzcinski.
A memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.
