Kenneth M. Mott, 77, of Cape Coral, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Hope Hospice surrounded by his family. He was born May 4, 1931, in Macon, Mo.

He moved to Cape Coral in 1977. The owner of K. Mott Service Center with his son, Myron, for 32 years, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge 172 in Macon, Mo., for more than 50 years.

He became a member of the ARABA Shrine Temple of Kansas City, transferred to ARABA Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite Mason of Valley of Fort Myers, and became a member of the Royal Order of Jesters Court 170 in Fort Myers.

He will be remembered and missed by his loving family and numerous friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris; son, Myron Mott; daughters, Karen (Brett) Ray and Terri Doyle; and grandchildren, Truman Ray, Michael Tuminello and Brittany Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

The family will receive friends from 24 and 68 p.m. Thursday at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers. Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions to Hope Hospice.
