Bill I. (Coach) Gregoire
Bill I. (Coach) Gregoire, 48, of Cape Coral passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, after suffering an apparent heart attack while vacationing in West Virginia.
He was born Oct. 3, 1960, in Glasgow, Mont., a son of Itsuko Gregoire and the late Joseph O. Gregoire. He was a former resident of Homestead, Fla. On March 19, 1988, he married the love of his life, Mayra Chisholm. His life was devoted to his family and working. He was a construction foreman and was a former police officer in Homestead.
He was an outstanding high school athlete and continued to play sports and also became a coach, coaching both girls soccer and girls fastpitch softball. During his coaching career, his teams won numerous championships and awards.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and to anyone who know him, including all the players he coached.
He is survived by his wife, Mayra Gregoire of Cape Coral; his children, Jessica, 17, and Joseph, 8; his mother, Itsuko Gregoire; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Vera Chisholm; his sisters, Maudi Kerans and Peggy (Frank) Gianino; brothers-in-law, Frankie Chisholm and Ben (Jackie) Waldrep; nieces, Ashley Felice, Lindsay Waldrep, Jenna Kerans and Danielle Roth; and nephews, Ryan Waldrep, Jeremy Kerans, Jonathon Kerans and Timothy W. Roth Jr.
The funeral will be held Sunday, Jan. 4, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home.
The family will be present to receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
