Vincent Salpietro 

Vincent Salpietro, 77, of Cape Coral, died peacefully Sunday, March 30, 2008.

He was the beloved husband to Marie, devoted father to Vincent, loving brother to Bernard and Salvatore, and dear grandfather to Toni Marie and Kristina Salpietro. All will miss him very much. He has always been an inspiration to his family and friends.

Vinnie and Marie are blessed to be childhood sweethearts, sharing 55 years of marriage. They moved to Cape Coral 31 years ago from Paramus, N.J. He worked for the state of Florida Drivers License Bureau in Cape Coral for many years. He was a member of St. Katharine Catholic Church.

He served his country honorably during the Korean War as a staff sergeant with the U.S. Air Force 352 Bomber Squad.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Katharine Catholic Church. The family will receive friends for viewing today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A scripture service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice.
