Lee County DOT advises McGregor Boulevard motorists to use detoured route to access eastbound Colonial Boulevard
Temporary lane closures needed for emergency pipe maintenance

The Lee County Department of Transportation is advising McGregor Boulevard motorists heading east onto Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers to be aware of a detour and use caution during an upcoming, brief lane closure of the onramp.
Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, and be completed by Friday, Aug. 2, weather permitting. The work is necessary for emergency pipe maintenance in the drainage system along the south side of Colonial Boulevard between McGregor Boulevard and Summerlin Road.
DOT’s detour will route motorists off McGregor Boulevard at Royal Palm Avenue; they will travel east to Summerlin Road and then north to Colonial Boulevard. Signage will be on site.
Lee County DOT’s LeeWay office in the area will be accessible from Via Royale off of Royal Palm Avenue.
The work will not impact Midpoint Bridge traffic.
