The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver in a Sunday hit-and-run crash involving a Dodge Challenger and an ATV. The accident occurred at 5:35 p.m. on Harvest Avenue in Lehigh Acres, according to the FHP.

The driver of the Challenger has been identified by FHP as Amber Jean Tremblay, 33, of Lehigh Acres. Troopers are actively searching for her for leaving the scene of a crash with serious injuries and driving while license suspended (third offense).

According to the FHP report, the accident occurred when the ATV, driven by a Cape Coral man, was traveling north on Harvest Avenue, north of Grafton Street, on the dirt shoulder when it attempted to make a U-turn and entered the roadway in the path of the Challenger, which was also traveling north on Harvest Avenue.

The front of the Challenger struck the left side of the ATV, officers said.

Post collision, the driver of the Dodge fled the scene in another vehicle, FHPH said.

A short time later, that second vehicle was involved in a separate crash at Bell Boulevard and Meadow Road. That accident is being investigated by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, according to the FHP report. Tremblay, FHP reported, then fled the scene of that crash on foot.

The 27-year-old driver of the ATV sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Trembly is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol or Crimestoppers.
