CCPD arrests two on drug charges

Today, March 15, Cape Coral Police Department’s Vice, Investigations and Narcotics Unit arrested Shawn Bonamy, 21, of 1731 Red Cedar Drive, Fort Myers and Thomas Bernard Dean, 26, of 3405 SW 9th Street, Lehigh Acres, for felony narcotic charges after an intricate undercover investigation. The investigation revealed that Bonamy and Dean sold and arranged to sell fentanyl here in Cape Coral.
Bonamy and Dean were subsequently transported to Lee County Jail.
According to the CCPD, Bonamy was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell Fentanyl F.S.S. 893.13 (1)(a)1, [0.9 Grams], Sale of Fentanyl F.S.S. 893.13 (1)(a)1, [3.1 Grams] and Driving While License Suspended/Revoked with Knowledge F.S.S. 322.34(2)(a).
Dean was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell Fentanyl F.S.S. 893.13 (1)(a)1 [0.9 Grams] and Resisting Without Violence F.S.S. 843.02.
