Overnight lane closures planned on Pine Island Road causeway and bridge
Starting Monday, Feb. 20, crews will begin collecting preliminary data for permanent repairs to the Pine Island Road causeway and bridge in Lee County.
According to the announcement from the Florida Department of Transportation, to minimize impact, lane closures will be overnight, single-lane closures from Monday to Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., and last approximately three weeks.
Residents and businesses should expect noise from crews, equipment, backup alarms and lighting, FDOT reported.
Also, drivers are asked to please use caution in the area and consider additional travel time.
