Nailah Velez Benefit Charity Car & Motorcycle Show Feb. 18
Friends and family have organized the Nailah Velez Benefit Charity Car & Motorcycle Show to be held Saturday, Feb. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at City First Church of Cale Coral at 121 Del Prado Blvd., South.
Nailah was born February 2019 with a rare congenital heart defect, cor triatriatum, which accounts for only .1% of all heart defects. In 2022, after numerous doctor visits, procedures and medications, Nailah had open heart surgery at Shand’s Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Friends report that Nailah’s recovery has been going well.
The benefit show is open to all years, makes and models, and sponsors and volunteers are needed.
The cost to register is $20 for early entries, and $25 for day-of entries (which includes lunch for the registered vehicle owner). There will be a trophy for the best in show and door prizes. A 50/50 drawing will also be held.
All donations from the event go to the Velez family to help cover medical expenses.
