A popular staple put on by the city of Cape Coral returns for the first time in 2023 and following Hurricane Ian.

This Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. on Southeast 47th Terrace, Cape Coral’s full-throttle Bike Night will feature live music, best bike contest, and vendor village.

“Kick the tires and light the fires, Bike Night is back,” said Cape Coral Special Events Coordinator, Todd King. “The hurricane is behind us, and it’s time to rev it up.”

The line-up for the night consists of two bands made up of local first responders, and a ZZ Top tribute band.

First, “Trip Hazard,” a group made up of local firefighters, will take the stage from 6 to 6:45. They will be followed by “Deep Cover,” a band of local police officers, rocking from 7 to 7:45.

“It’s cool to be able to have our local first responders be part of the night,” King said. “I set it up a bit as a ‘battle of the bands’ in a kind of way, we’ll just see who can rock the hardest.”

“ZZ’s Best: The Ultimate ZZ Top Tribute Band” takes the stage from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

The festivities will take place along Southeast 47th Terrace between Vincennes Boulevard and Coronado Parkway, with the main stage along Southeast 10th Place.

“This is our first outdoor major event for the city since Ian,” King said. “It’s been a long road back, and we’re excited to be able to put on our traditional Bike Night. We want everyone to come out and have a good time and enjoy the vendors, music, and support local businesses along 47th Terrace.”

The event also will feature the Harley’s Angel Bike Show Contest from 6 to 8 p.m. The contest is free to enter and limited to one bike per person. Winners have the chance to take home a Harley Davidson gift card, and the winner will be announced on the main stage around 8:15.

There is no charge for admission and designated areas are set aside for bikers to park near Southeast 47th Terrace.

Bike lovers can peruse the plethora of vendors all while having access to live music, food, drinks, and thousands of motorcycles.

Organizers encourage the use of ride share services (Lyft/Uber/taxi) for both responsible drinking and to assist guests in getting to the venue in the safest, most efficient way. There is limited parking on-site, including motorcycle parking at two different locations until 11 p.m.

The next Bike Night is scheduled for April 8.
