Lee County and the Florida Department of Transportation with the assistance of private contractors have restored access to the Pine Island bridge from the mainland.

Emergency personnel, utility and supply trucks, and FDOT crews now have access to make the island safe and secure. Soon, residents will be able return to their homes and start their recovery.
