National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, Sept. 20

By Staff | Sep 16, 2022

On Sept. 20, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort to register voters ahead of the midterm elections.

This year also marks National Voter Registration Day’s 10th anniversary. The Lee County Supervisor of Elections office will partner with Lee County libraries to celebrate this civic holiday. The elections office team will engage the community and register voters on Monday, Sept. 19, and Tuesday, Sept. 20, at libraries throughout the county.

For a complete list of the library locations, please visit https://www.lee.vote/Community-Education-Services/Calendar-of-Events.

Eligible individuals may also register to vote or update their voter registration information online at www.lee.vote or all offices of the Lee County Supervisor of Elections from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Founded in 2012, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote. Nearly 4.5 million Americans have registered to vote on the holiday since the inaugural National Voter Registration Day.

The mission of the Lee County Supervisor of Elections is to deliver superior election services to the voters of Lee County.
