Vacation resort proposed for northwest Cape

A developer is planning to build a waterfront vacation resort in northwest Cape Coral off Burnt Store Road.
Cape Coral based White Stone Developments LLC, has begun the permitting process for its planned Lake Shadroe Resort, a 48-unit, four-floor resort development with a marina, resort-style pool with Jacuzzi and a private “mini-beach” as well as retail stores, a restaurant & tiki lounge, a coffee shop franchise, and a bait & tackle shop.
Initial permitting for the development to be located at 218 Burnt Store Road was submitted in July. Upon city approval, the resort is expected to be completed and open to the public by early 2025, a release from White Stone states.
“It was a real honor to be able to share our vision for the future of the northwest Cape. Not only will it bring visitors to this beautiful area of the country, it will bring business and jobs to this quickly growing part of Florida,” said Robert Knight, Founder & CEO of White Stone in a prepared statement. “Its retail, dining, and waterfront amenities will provide great additions to northwest Cape Coral.”
Lake Shadroe Resort will feature “48 resort style, waterfront units with unobstructed water views,” the release states.
As planned, the resort also will include a two-floor commercial space with spa facilities, a Because Coffee Co. coffee shop, the waterfront restaurant & tiki bar, and onsite management offices.
“The marina will have slips and boat rentals, fuel pump station, and is conveniently located next to the Burnt Store public boat launch, plus a bait & tackle shop where guests have access to marine supplies, souvenirs, and snacks,” the release states.
