Experience the passion for animals in art Thursday, Sept. 23, from 6-8 p.m., for the Gulf Coast Humane Society’s fundraiser Arts & Animals: Furry Friends Displayed in Art, which will be held at the Alliance for the Arts, located at 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33919.

Enjoy the top 20 juried exhibit pet art pieces which were chosen out of nearly 50 entries during a night of art, which will include refreshments and snacks.

Pieces will also be up for sale, with portions of the sale benefiting the GCHS shelter animals.

Tickets can be purchased at the door during the night of the event for $20, which also will benefit the GCHS shelter animals.

“We love this event, because it mixes two wonderful things in life – art and animals,” said GCHS executive director Jennifer Galloway. “We love that so many artists submitted their work for the event and everyone who attends, will certainly enjoy the pieces which were chosen for the juried exhibit.”

GCHS will also have several of its furry friends attending the event to enjoy for guests.
