Punta Rassa Boat Ramp parking lot to close temporarily for paving project

By Staff | Jul 13, 2021

The Punta Rassa Boat Ramp will be closed temporarily from Monday, July 26, through Thursday, July 29, for parking lot improvements. The ramp will reopen Friday, July 30, weather permitting.

Patch work will be begin today, July 14, but the ramp will remain open during this process.

The Punta Rassa Boat Ramp, 15001 Punta Rassa Road, Fort Myers, is Lee County Parks & Recreation’s most-used boat ramp. Signs have been posted to alert boaters of the upcoming closure.

During the parking lot project, the Lee County Parking Sticker will be honored at the City of Sanibel boat ramp – just across the Sanibel Causeway from the Punta Rassa Ramp – so boaters with stickers have the option to pay the bridge toll and use that ramp without paying its meter fee.
