Lee County Supervisor of Elections advises voters of unofficial mailings
If you have received a mailing encouraging you to switch parties or change your vote-by-mail status, they are not coming from the Lee County Supervisor of Elections office.
“Please be aware the Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office is not responsible for recent mailings with messages encouraging party affiliation changes or vote-by-mail participation,” a release from Supervisor of Elections Tommy Doyle’s office issued Wednesday morning states.“Under Florida law, all voter registration information is public record, and many organizations use this to target registered voters.”
All official election-related mailings from the Elections Office office have the official Lee County Supervisor of Elections logo and official election mail seal, authorized by the U.S. Postal Service. At this time, the notices originating from Lee Elections are the following:
Address Change Notice.
Address Confirmation Final Notice.
