Mark Mason

Cape Coral City Manager Robert Hernandez has hired Mark Mason to fulfill the Financial Services director position.

Mason will oversee the Financial Services Department, which includes accounting, customer billing services, budget management and administration, procurement, risk management, and real estate.

He has 22 years of professional experience in Florida. He previously served as the finance director for the City of Cape Coral from 2003 to 2010 and also served in the cities of Sebastian and Tamarac. His most recent position was in from Midland, Texas, where he served as the director of finance. He is a certified public accountant, certified public pension trustee, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Mason will join the city in June and his starting salary will be $153,000.
