Shooting victim dies from injuries

Cape Coral police today reported that a 19-year-old man who was shot over the weekend in the Cape has died.

According to the CCPD, on Saturday, April 24, around 4:30 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Southeast 6th Street in regards to a shots heard call. While investigating the shots fired reports, officers discovered Kevin Girard Palmer of Fort Myers with a gunshot wound to his head.

Palmer later died as a result of the injury, police said.
