It’s ‘Game On’ at Lee County Animal Services during the month of March

By Staff | Mar 2, 2021

It’s all fun and games at Lee County Domestic Animal Services and everyone is a winner when a new pet gets adopted. Adoption fees will be reduced March 1 through March 31. Adult dogs will be $40 and cats will be $20 with an approved application. To add to the adoption experience, each adopted pet will go home with a toy or treat.

The month-long promotion will culminate with a video game-themed “Flip This Kennel” competition. Animal Services, along with various county agencies and area rescues, will decorate kennels and catteries to highlight often-overlooked shelter pets in the adoption center.

Visitors to the shelter Saturday, March 27, can vote for their favorite flip between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Voting will also take place on the Animal Services Facebook page by liking the picture of a favorite kennel or cattery all day March 27. Winners will be posted on Facebook Monday, March 29.

The adoption center at Lee County Domestic Animal Services, 5600 Banner Drive, Fort Myers, is open 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Available pets can be viewed at www.leelostpets.com.
