Trash pickup day to change for some Cape households
The waste collection schedule will change for some Cape Coral residents beginning March 1.
“Waste Pro is adjusting its routes due to residential growth in the northern part of the city,” city officials said in a release issued Wednesday. “The last time the routes were changed was in 2016. About 5,100 homes of the more than 81,000 will be impacted by these adjustments. Trash, recycling, and yard waste will continue to be collected one day and bulk items will be collected the following service day.”
Residents who are affected by these route changes will receive a postcard from Waste Pro containing their new pickup day. Additionally, an online map tool is available to residents to determine what day their waste containers will be collected beginning the week of March 1:
