Lee County Domestic Animal Services to hold inaugural Doggy Date Night

Lee County Domestic Animal Services, in partnership with Bell Tower of Fort Myers, Deputy Dog Pets on Patrol and Beesley’s Paw Prints, plans a Doggie Date Night event for people and their canine companions, from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Bell Tower, 13499 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.

There will be a Runway Contest with celebrity judges, including Lee County Commissioner Cecil Pendergrass, United Way Executive Director Jeannine Joy and Lee County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chance. The categories include Best Dressed, Best Couple and Look-alike.

Rescue Row will feature Animal Services’ rescue partners R.A.I.N., the Cape Coral Animal Shelter and the Gulf Coast Humane Society. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet a new beloved pet. Mellie the Math Dog (@mellie_the_math_dog) will also be on hand to demonstrate her algebra skills.
