Later this afternoon, Cape Coral Police reported that due to the serious crash earlier today at Burnt Store Road and S.W Pine Island Road, the intersection will be closed for approximately the next 24 hours to allow for the investigation as well as repairs to the traffic lights. Officers will be manning the intersection to redirect drivers away from the road closure.

Drivers ark asked to please avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
