CCPD investigates reported late-night shooting incident in Northeast Cape

Cape Coral Police officers responded to a home in Northeast Cape Coral Thursday night after several shots were reportedly fired into the residence from a vehicle.

Thursday, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Northeast 23rd Street. The residents stated shots had been fired at their home from a vehicle on the street.

Police reported that detectives with the Major Crimes Unit and Forensics specialists arrived to assist the investigation. No one within the home was struck or harmed.

This incident is considered isolated, and there is no immediate danger to the public, police said.
