On Saturday, Aug. 29, the Cultural Park Theater honored and recognized local combat wounded veterans from The Military Order of the Purple Heart during the theater’s show. The program, sponsored by Carol Rae Cullinton of the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation, provided a venue for honoring combat wounded veterans.
With Aug. 7 being National Purple Heart Day, this program honored these heroes, and all veterans.
From The Military Order of the Purple Heart Memorial in Echo Park, to the Purple Heart display at the Southwest Florida Military Museum of History honoring Floridians killed in action since the beginning of the war on terrorism, the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation has sponsored these memorials honoring the country’s true heroes.
