Three arrested, two sought in connection to drug overdose death
Cape Coral police have arrested three people and are seeking two others in connection with the drug overdose death of a 19-year-old whose body was found along a Cape roadside last month.
The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the death of Kaleigh Marie Mousseau, whose body was found off Gator Circle in April, was due to acute combined drug toxicity and the manner of death was determined to be an accident.
The charges are related to actions allegedly taken in the wake of her death.
Investigators with the CCPD Major Crimes Unit have charged John J. Kaiser, 45; Carl M. Crowe, 52, and Amy L. Sigears, 52, each with tampering with physical evidence a third degree felony; mishandling human remains, first degree misdemeanor, and failure to report a death, a first degree misdemeanor.
Thomas B. Bartley, 46, and Denise R. Maggi, 40, are still at large and are facing the same charges, police said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these subjects is asked to please contact the Cape Coral Police Department at (239) 574-3223 or Crimestoppers to provide the information.
