Teen accused of killing parents pleads not guilty
NAPLES (AP) – Attorneys for a 14-year-old Southwest Florida teen accused of killing his parents entered written not guilty plea on his behalf.
The not guilty plea was entered into the court file weeks before the Monday morning arraignment. Neither Alex Crain nor his attorneys were at the hearing.
The teenager is accused of shooting his parents, 40-year-old Thomas Crain and 38-year-old Kelly Crain, on Dec. 9 in their Golden Gate Estates home.
He is charged with two counts of manslaughter with a firearm.
