JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – A reception for Jacksonville law firm that provides legal assistance to low-income customers has been charged with stealing the identities of at least 20 clients.

Prosecutors say Tashannyo Adena Medley stole about $232,000 through two separate scams.

The 29-year-old woman is accused of using client identities to obtain thousands of dollars in payday loans. In an unrelated charge, she is also alleged to have submitted fraudulent student loan applications.

Medley worked for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid. Authorities estimate she got about $11,000 worth of loans using Social Security numbers from office clients.

Medley is free on unsecured bail and is expected in court Monday.
