Police arrest 3 in retail robbery, standoff
VENICE, Fla. (AP) – Three men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and standoff at a Florida retail store that was treated as a hostage situation.
Venice police arrested Mathew Graffin, Joshua Michael Rose and James Paul Rogers Jr. on Monday. Each was charged with armed kidnapping and robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon.
Two of the men are T.J. Maxx employees.
Authorities were called to a T.J. Maxx in Venice last Tuesday after gunmen allegedly entered the store while about 15 customers were inside. Police believe the men left by the time emergency responders arrived.
No one was injured in the incident.
