Man convicted in mall shooting
WEST PALM BEACH (AP) – Jurors have convicted a Lantana man of a fatal Christmas Eve shooting inside the Boynton Beach mall.
Wilson Pierre now faces a faces a minimum of 25 years in prison. He was convicted Monday of second-degree murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Berno Charlemond.
Police say the fatal shooting inside the mall on Dec. 24, 2006, was gang-related. Investigators initially arrested another man in the shooting, but he was later released.
