OCALA, Fla. (AP) – A Marion county man was arrested after a shoot-out with sheriff’s deputies.

A sheriff’s office report says deputies responded to the apartment complex of 25-year-old Tyler McPartland early Sunday morning. He had reportedly pointed a gun at his roommate and made suicidal remarks.

When deputies arrived, McPartland started shooting at them. He tried leaving through the back door of the building while still firing shots.

He was eventually caught in another apartment and arrested on several charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest with violence and four counts of attempted murder on a law enforcement officer.

No one was injured.

McPartland was being held under a suicide watch at the Marion County Jail on Sunday afternoon on no bond.
